from Karin Wilson – Bag Stuffers
Printing a simple flyer for upcoming events in your store helps keep your customers returning. If you don’t have a lot of events scheduled you can include books coming out soon or your staff picks. We sometimes include community events as well that are happening in our downtown. Something we are starting to do now that adds an extra incentive to come back is including a coupon on the bottom of the flyer for a discount that can be used during a window of time in the future. (Does anyone have kids and shop at Limited Too? This is a huge marketing campaign they do). For example, for the month of July the coupon might be 15% off your next purchase during Aug 10th – Aug 31st. This also helps you kind of track how effective your bag stuffers are. We also have a printer who prints a huge advertisement on the backside (coupons to use for them as well can be included in the ad) and this pays for all the printing and graphic design!
